Supporting Local
At our oyster shed, we take pride in collaborating with local growers and suppliers to support our community and uphold our commitment to quality and sustainability. Every ingredient on our menu is carefully selected to complement the excellence of our freshly harvested oysters.
Who we work with:
- Cheeses / olives sourced from Little Creek Cheese & The Really Stuffed Olive.
- Juices sources from East Coast Beverages.
- Lobsters sourced from Seacoast Fishing.
- Local school prawns, mullet, and mud crabs come from the Hawkesbury River (when available).

Getting Here

By Car
We are located right on the edge of the Hawkesbury River less than an hour from Sydney and 25 minutes from Gosford. If you're driving south, turn left before you head over the Mooney Mooney Bridge. There is street parking available at the entrance of the Oyster Shed, but it can get busy during peak hours.

By Boat
Boats smaller than 5m in size can access Hawkesbury River Oyster Shed on low draft/high tide (minimum 1.2m). We highly recommend checking the conditions on Willy Weather before your trip.
Visit the Hawkesbury River
Located less than an hour from Sydney and 30 minutes from the Central Coast, the Hawkesbury River is known as an unsung gem and is a must-see experience for anyone looking to get back to nature. With its rich bushland, vast waterways, renowned local seafood and various natural attractions, it’s the perfect place for fishermen, boaties, couples and families alike.
A loaf of bread,' the Walrus said,
Is what we chiefly need:
Pepper and vinegar besides
Are very good indeed —
Now if you're ready, Oysters dear,
We can begin to feed.
